About our home

Our 'wee blue' house as it is affectionately known is in a prime location at the top of the promenade in Portstewart and within walking distance to all local amenities. Its coastal theme and interior is suitable for families and a private back yard is ideal for children and pets . It is a deceptively spacious terrace covering 3 floors and fully equipped with everything needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay at the North Coast. It is home from home and a very special place to stay .

The space
Located in the heart of Portstewart , our coastal house is walking distance to the stunning Portstewart Strand (1 mile) . Cared for by National Trust, this magnificent two-mile strand of glistening golden sand is one of Northern Ireland's finest and most popular beaches which has the Michelin-rated restaurant 'Harry's Shack' right at its entrance ! Amazing food, service and breathtaking views of the beach . A championship links Portstewart Golf course is set amid towering sand dunes with views at every turn of the Donegal hills, the Atlantic and the River Bann and was the proud host venue of the 2017 Dubai Duty Free Irish Open - a magnificent Causeway Coast jewel! Royal Portrush Golf course ( one of the best and most challenging links golf courses in the world ) is only 4 miles away and will stage the 148th Open from 14-21 July 2019 . The world's greatest golfers will come to the famous North Coast town to compete for the iconic Claret Jug.

The Giants Causeway, Dunluce Castle, Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge , Rathin Island, Mussenden Temple and Bushmills Distillery are but a few of the many local attractions , not forgetting many iconic filming locations from Game of Thrones, including The Dark Hedges.

Guest access
Guests can enter the house via a front and back door . The host or one of the hosts family members will personally greet you upon arrival , give you the key and welcome you to the property . A personal and friendly introduction to the wee blue house , including important information , will be shared at arrival .

Interaction with guests
The host is happy to be contacted via email and text and will share these details when introducing guests .

Other things to note
Pets are welcome but must be house trained and owners are encouraged to respect the property and interior . Potential guests are encouraged to contact host regarding questions about their pet(s) prior to booking .

An electric meter is at the front door and can be topped up locally . Guests are just asked to check meter on arrival . £5 is usually more than sufficient for a weeks stay .
