About our home

*Apologies but we are unable to accommodate swaps with less that 8 weeks notice and for stays of under 7 nights*

Our beautiful Edwardian house is on a tree lined street in the Fiveways area of Brighton. It has a cosy sitting room with an open fireplace, a separate dining room and large bright well-equipped kitchen with bi-fold doors onto the garden; we also have a downstairs cloakroom. The garden is child friendly with enough grass for small children to run around and play and to the side of the house there is a large outdoor table with chairs to seat 6 and a gas bbq. On the first floor there is a child’s bedroom with a single bed and the main family bathroom with a large freestanding bath and a separate shower. A few steps up take you to another bedroom, currently with a cot for our baby and a single bed but we would be happy to remove the cot if not needed and the single bed will convert into a kingsize (or we could add a second single bed). The main bedroom in the attic has views across the rooftops and on a clear day you can glimpse the sea in the far distance. It has an ensuite shower room, kingsize bed and sitting area with a sofa and tv.

Bedrooms (3 rooms in total, sleeps 5):
1 x king bedroom with ensuite on the top floor
2 large bedrooms on the first floor
- 1 x single bed with trundle (also converts to king)
- 1 x single bed
All bedrooms have storage space for clothes

Kitchen:
Our kitchen is a perfect for food lovers with a 6 ring range stovetop and double oven, dishwasher, Bosch microwave, fridge-freezer, kitchen appliances including a nutribullet and kitchen aid food processor and a selection of cookbooks. It has a table to seat 8 plus two Stokke Steps high chairs.

Two living spaces:
- Main sitting room with sofas to seat 5, flat screen TV, blueray player, open fireplace
- Dining room with a table to seat 8

Outdoor entertaining space:
- grass area for children to play
- Outdoor table setting seating for up to 6
- Outback gas bbq
- Sand and water table for toddlers

Other features:
- Washing machine
- Cloakroom with toilet and sink
- Double buggy available for your use during your stay
- We can arrange for our regular cleaner to come in during your stay should you wish.

*Please note a cleaning fee of £250 to be paid directly the cleaning company will apply upon departure.*

More about us

  1. We are a family of four, with two small children and a dog (don’t worry, she doesn’t come with the house and will be off having her own holiday when you stay!).

  2. We moved to Brighton from London a few years ago and love the change in lifestyle with the beach on our doorstep and stunning countryside within a short drive. We enjoy visiting the many fantastic restaurants Brighton has to offer, and popping into all the interesting independent shops in the laines.

  3. Many years ago we lived in Australia and we are always keen to return to Sydney, Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast. We love travelling to far flung destinations with warm climates but are always open to offers.

Neighbourhood

Fiveways is a lovely family friendly area with lots of cafes, parks and pubs within a few minutes walk of the house. We are a 15 minute walk away from the North Laines and a 25 minute walk to the beach. Brighton station is also a 15 minute walk away and the fast trains will get you to central London in 50 minutes, there is also a small local station with connecting trains within 5 minutes walk.

Brighton is a fantastic friendly city, often described as a miniature London. There’s always lots going on but also space to find peace and quiet when you need it. We love the fast access into London and returning home to our beautiful house at the end of the day.
