About our home

We offer a large family home with lots of character. Parts of our home date back to the 16th and 18th centuries and parts are new, so it has an interesting feel with nooks and crannies. Our living room has original oak paneled walls with a wood-burning stove in the fireplace. We have a large kitchen/dining room also downstairs, as well as a play room full of our sons toys, particularly Lego and Playmobil. We have a spacious master bedroom with kingsize antique bed, child's room with bunk beds, and a large guest room with a double bed and single sofa bed. Upstairs in the office, another sofa bed can also be used. Outside in the garden we have a trampoline and playhouse, as well as dining table and chairs.

We have a very friendly cat called Thomas who loves cuddles and is very good with children, and a rabbit. We would be grateful if you could feed them for us.

Where is it?

We live in the perfect location to enjoy peaceful village life, but with easy access to the culture of Oxford and London, both of which can be accessed by train; 20 minutes to Oxford or 45 minutes to London. Many people commute from our village to London every day. The village is full of history and enjoys a lovely location right by the river Thames. Great for walking and cycling. For children there are two playparks in the village. There are two good pubs, one with large garden full of children's toys, and also a fine restaurant. There are free tennis courts in the village also. Abingdon, a small historic market town, is two miles away and can be reached on foot along the river footpath, by bike along a traffic free cycle route, or of course by car. Abingdon has many shops, cafés and restaurants as well as plenty of its own history to explore. There is a lovely play park with water jets for the children and mini golf by the river in Abingdon.
