About our home

Our home is right on the banks of the Thames at the point where it is still tidal. Teddington Lock, which we overlook, is at the heart of Royal West London with its palaces (Hampton Court is the largest royal palace in London and full open to the public), royal Parks (Richmond Park is truly the king of London parks), grand houses (like Ham and Marble Hill) and beautiful and protected views (over Petersham Meadows and from Richmond to St Pauls Cathedral). So much to see without the crowds of the central area of London.......though if you want to go the West End, it's 30 minutes on the train from Teddington!
Our apartment is a modern home with a huge balcony and un-interrupted views over the river. It is laid out for adults primarily but our children still come and stay: there are double beds in 2 bedrooms with en suite shower rooms; the third bedroom is laid out as a study with a large sofa bed and a third family bathroom.
We also have a large seaside home on the Isle of Wight with room for 8 in 4 bedrooms, accessed by ferry and some 2.5 hours away, door to door. This can be available as part of the swap.
In 2016, we would like to visit European capital cities for long weekends, Cape Cod/Martha's Vineyard USA in the Autumn and the Turkish coast in March or April.
