About our home

Our stone cottage was built in the 1800s and extended a few decades ago. It is cosy with an Aga and a wood-burning stove in winter, and it has a sunny garden in summer. We have lovely walks all around us, as we are in the heart of the Vale of Wardour, near Old Wardour Castle. We are near the beautiful cultural cities of Salisbury and Bath, and 2 hours by train to London. Shaftesbury, with its famous Gold Hill, is only 15 mins drive away. Ideal of peace and quiet, country walks, gastropubs, history and culture.

More about us

  1. We're an English family of four

  2. We are self-employed: a film-maker and a consultant on international aid

  3. We have two boys aged 15 and 13
