About our home

we are looking for longer periods of swap, minimum of 3/4 months and anything upwards from that. We would consider exchanging from Nov/Dec 2012 onwards into 2013. We are looking for people to exchange from Australia or New Zealand.
We live in a Victorian, semi detached house (still with many original features) just 8 minutes walk from the station and we are less than 10 mins away from the high street with its shops, restaurants and cafes and the convenient supermarket and open air market (on a Sat) selling local Kentish produce.
The train has a fast link to London Bridge (just 35 mins) and trains run every 10 mins. We are also just two short stops away from the historical town of Tunbridge Wells with its cobbled streets of the Pantiles and it's vibrant Theatre. We have two cars to offer; a five seat Toyota Lucida with air con, and our Classic Morris Traveller "Madge"!
We are across the way from the River Medway where you can hire rowing boats or try a spot of fishing and Tonbridge park where you can partake of its tennis courts, bowls, football & Rugby pitches, children play area, mini golf, steam train rides, skate board park, swimming pool with both indoor and heated outdoor pools and last but not least explore Tonbridge Castle itself which boasts being the finest existing example of a bailey moat castle in Britain.
Kent is a very beautiful county (The Garden of England!) and has a wealth of historical sites, attractions, stunning golf courses all within easy reach including Leeds Castle, Penshurst Place, (childhood home of Anne Boleyn) Heaver Castle and many many more. We are conveniently close to Gatwick Airport which opens up cheap European flights, and an hour away both from Ashford International station with the euro link train, and Dover port servicing ferries to France.
