A warm, sunny house with beautiful views toward the river Dart valley & hills beyond. Kitchen diner opens onto a reception room with comfortable seating, real flame fire and doors to a deck with a swing seat & outdoor dining furniture. There is a second reception room & a downstairs cloakroom. Outside: Summer house, fruit trees, a fire pit and swings in the garden. Option to collect fresh eggs from our 3 hens if desired!
The house is on one of the nicest streets in Totnes, with lots of trees and very little traffic. A short walk into town and also on the route of the John Musgrave trail which is good for walking and cycling. It is a clean, comfortable, child friendly home in a great holiday location.
Totnes is a wonderful town - the subject of recent BBC TV programme by Nicholas Crane http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p00jsgcn
Totnes is on the mainline railway from London Paddington. You can enjoy a holiday without a car. We are a bus ride away from the nearest beaches in Torbay and there are boat trips on the river Dart to Dartmouth.
The town attracts many visitors http://www.totnesinformation.co.uk/ and is famous for being a bit alternative!
We are a couple in our 40's with 2 school age children. I work in informatics for the NHS & enjoy hill walking, hen keeping & baking cakes with all the fresh eggs. Andrew is a Business Manager, a coach for the local rowing club & enjoys eating the cakes! Nearly 20 years since leaving London for Devon we are still discovering new things to love about living here.
