About our home

Our spacious home is situated in beautiful countryside on the Norfolk/Suffolk border. Four double bedrooms, large kitchen-diner, living room, snug and large playroom. Set in 3/4 acre gardens, backing onto open fields on a very quiet country lane, it is a very peaceful place to stay.

More about us

  1. We are a family of four with two daughters aged 6 and 10. We run our own educational business and it is now at a point where we can do much of our work remotely. This, coupled with the fact that we home educate our children means we are flexible on dates. We believe the best way for our children to learn about different countries and cultures is to experience them first hand and we are aiming to travel with them as much as possible over the next few years (whilst they are still young enough to want to spend time with us!)

We have a very friendly dog and cat, plus three guinea pigs. If you’re happy to care for them, that’s great, but we can arrange for alternative care if not.

Looking specifically for places to stay in Ireland this September to October and also in New Zealand Feb to March 2019 but also open to other offers.

Where is it?

We live on a very quiet country lane in a small village on the Norfolk, Suffolk border. Our house is ideally situated, surrounded by gently rolling countryside with many walks and beautiful scenery.

A short drive will take you to one of the close by market towns of Harleston or Bungay with a selection of shops, cafes and restaurants. The larger town of Beccles is within 20 mins and we are only half an hour south of Norwich, a vibrant city with a good variety of shops, plus cinemas, theatre, cafes, restaurants.

The coast is only 35 mins away with the popular towns of Southwold, Aldeburgh and Walberswick and the nature reserves at Dunwich all close by. We are also only 1 hour 15 mins drive from the north Norfolk coast.

There are also a number of nearby family tourist attractions such as Bewilderwood, Banham Zoo, Redwings horse sanctuary all an easy drive away.
