“You will have a brilliant time at this flat. We did a classic swap and it was such a good experience. The flat itself was clean, stylish and ideally located. Tynemouth has so much to explore - stunning castle and priory overlooking the sea, lovely sandy beaches and a wide array of excellent restaurants, cafes, and unique independent shops to explore. It was our wedding anniversary and we found a great Thai restaurant for dinner. Laraine and her husband looked after our home so well and it was amazing to come back to a clean and tidy house. Thank you so much, I wholeheartedly recommend visiting Tynemouth and choosing to stay at Laraine's wonderful home. It was truly an unforgettable experience!”

“Fab, fab, fab! Tynemouth is a great place to visit and Laraine’s home is perfectly located right in Tynemouth village, less than 5 mins walk to the beach. It’s close to bistros, wine bars, restaurants and pubs, cute little shops and boutiques and ooh the best fish and chippy shop ;) The apartment is in a beautiful old building and is modern, clean and comfortable, with the most luxurious bed and linens, we slept like a log! The lounge with its huge sash bay window overlooks a park/village green area and is a great for people watching… We walked every day, even in January, the area is stunningly beautiful and the beaches long sandy and inviting, getting our steps in was a real pleasure. Laraine is super lovely and generous with her time, recommendations…and gin!! We had the very best swap at Laraine’s place in Tynemouth and can absolutely 100% recommend it, thank you so much Laraine x”

It is in a great location right in the centre near all the shops, cafes and restaurants and a few minutes walk from the seafront. “High tech, modern and cosy flat. It’s very spacious, great for families, a few minutes walk from the beach and has a luxury beach interior. While there we had surf lessons, delicious food at local Riley’s (a place serving fresh fish on the beach) and explored the local shops. “Absolutely loved the flat. Perfect as a base to explore, relax, and for personal business. My wife and I enjoyed the sleek, modern style. Fully equiped kitchen made food preparation a cinch. A very comfortable master bed guaranteed a good night’s sleep. As a techie geek, I particularly liked the excellent WiFi throughout the flat, and Sonos for music. Alexa answered weather questions—even if she kept reporting 90F (32C) believing we were in Florida. Easy on-street parking at the front and rear of the building with a parking permit that turns out to be valid in the town center! The Metro location is very convenient, as well as the local Co-op Food Market, and a variety of coffee shops and restaurants. We couldn’t have been more pleased. A+ on our list.”

“We stayed in Larraine’s lovely apartment last weekend with our 4 and 2 year olds. The home is in a fantastic location,about 3 minutes walk to the metro and was really comfortable, with lots of basic provisions in the cupboards and soap, shampoo etc in the bathroom. The beds were comfy and the living room is somewhere you will definitely want to hang out J Tynemouth itself has many pubs, restaurants, cafes and 2 beaches. We’d highly recommend at meal at Davantis (a great Italian at the station). We took the kids for pizza and another night had delicious take away pasta. There is also an excellent fish and chip shop a 2 minute walk away. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t kind and our 3 days were rather wet, but this meant we discovered lots of great things to do in the area with kids. These included Wet and Wild water park (note it gets VERY busy in school holidays), Great North Museum, Life Centre (our best day out) and Pixies play café (great for a couple of hours). Littley Bay (an imaginary play centre) looked fantastic but was fully booked – so if it’s wet, plan ahead! We definitely plan to return. “What an amazing experience! Laraine is a very warm host. Getting into the property with self check in was super easy. She gace us plenty of recommendations.. The flat is very relaxing and super clean, and the location is perfect, next to everything. Tynemouth is very pretty, with a dramatic castle and priory overlooking the sea, many sandy beaches and rocks. We have loved walking along glazing into the sea. The village is pretty lively too with a fair amount of good restaurants and cafes, independant shops. I warmly recommend Tynemouth and staying and Laraine’s house.”

“This is a marvellous apartment! The home is even better in reality than the lovely photos. Laraine was a great host and kept in contact with us to help with everything from parking to local sites. The location is the best part - over looking the village square, just steps to wonderful bars and cafes and restaurants. We especially enjoyed Longsands Fish Kitchen and being able to step outside the door for breakfast and brunch at Dil & the Bear. We also enjoyed the weekend market at Tynemouth station and used the metro to get into Newcastle city centre. Although we added an extra day to our visit, we should have stayed longer and we hope to return. Thank you Laraine!”

“Laraine's flat in Tynemouth is the perfect location, great position, right in the centre of Tynemouth. We made use of the many bars, cafe's and restaurants. Tynemouth is a great place to visit, with the most amazing beaches. The flat is very well furnished to a high standard. Laraine was very communicative leading up to our stay and everything went smoothly. We would definitely like to return in the future.”

Right in the centre of Tynemouth which is a lovely village with lots to do within walking distance and close to the Northumberland drive which has many castles and interesting villages to visit. “That's my first experience with LHS, and it was GREAT! Laraine is so nice, accommodating, generous, and with a great god taste. The flat is SO beautiful, comfortable, with a touch of chic in everything. The location is perfect too. You can park your car right in front of the property, or take the bus, a stop is in front of the property too. I preferred to walk as the flat is in the centre of this charming little town. The beach is breath taken : you can have romantic walk, jogging, or just relax, breath, and listen to the see. There are a lot of nice little shops, tea rooms, and coffee bars with terrasse. I preferred to stay home, laying in the bright, spacious, and so confortable living room looking through the bow window, and relax. I enjoyed the flea market ( 2 minutes walking from home - every weekend ). It is a boho flea market, and you can find interesting items, or just spend a nice moment walking around the several stands. I highly recommend Laraine property for a romantic long week-end, ...a relaxing vacation with your family, ...a trip with friends to discover the region, and Scotland! I will go back for sure. ”
