About our home

Our house is a 5min walk to the centre of the pretty market town of Wallingford, set on the River Thames in South Oxfordshire.
The house was built in 1908 and is an unusual Arts and Crafts house with unique characteristics. The downstairs rooms all have high ceilings and large unusual windows.
The house is set in a 3/4acre plot with a large garden, heated outdoor pool, small orchard, vegetable plot and access to the river for kayaking and canoeing.

Inside we have a large contemporary open plan kitchen looking out onto the front and back gardens. We love cooking and the kitchen is well equipped with a large fridge, modern hob and oven, cupboards full of cooking equipment, spices, utensils and everything you need to cook up a feast. There's also dishwasher, utillity room with washing machine and dryer and the dining area has a table and chairs to fit 8-10 guests.

We have a large lounge with real open fire, there are two sofa's a large TV with Sky+ (inc movies) and conservatory which looks out onto the garden. Upstairs there are four good sized rooms, two double beds and two kids rooms Our boys are 9 & 11. There is also a bathroom and a shower room both with WC's and washbasins. There's his speed WiFi throughout the house. We have friendly cats Tom and Jerry who are affectionate, easy going and are not hunters!

Wallingford is set in beautiful British countryside in the Thames Valley. The town has a sophiticated large supermarket (Waitrose), small cinema, lovely mix of small local shops, old country pubs, antique shops, lots of restaurants, castle ruins, museum and lots of leisure facilities.

Wallingford is 15 minutes from beautiful Henley-on-Thames, 20 minutes drive from the historic city of Oxford, 40 minutes from Heathrow and an hours drive to London. If you don't want to drive there are good buses and trains nearby to all major cities and towns.
