About our home

A renovated three bedroom detached house but the smallest bedroom is used as a dressing room so we only really have two double bedrooms, although there are two mattresses that can be used in the snug if needed, or at a push, in the 'dressing room'. Our home is set in a small hamlet, surrounded by hills and countryside with lots of walking routes with fantastic views. The house has a large but steep garden but there are plenty of accessible places to sit out and enjoy sunshine during the warmer months. I wouldn't recommend letting small children access the upper tiers of the garden but there is a patio directly accessed from the house which is safe for all. There is a large drive big enough for 4 cars and access to a chiminea, outside dining and barbecue. There is a good size open-plan living, kitchen, dining room and separate 'snug' . A further two bedrooms available, one with a super-king size bed and the other a large double. There is a downstairs w.c. and upstairs bathroom which has a large walk in shower, but no bath. It is a lovely cosy house with plenty of light. The house is only 10 minutes drive from the nearest town with supermarkets, cafes, shops, pubs, restaurants, leisure centres and cinema. A little further afield, there is access to main routes to Llangollen, mid-Wales, Snowdonia, the coast, Chester, Liverpool and Manchester with a local railway station also available to access to the main cities.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Very quiet neighbourhood but very close to lots of shops and leisure establishments. Local shops are within 5 minutes drive for picking up small items but only another few minutes for the large supermarkets. Chester is only 20 minutes drive and is the nearest city. Everything is within a reasonable distance but a car is recommended for getting about.

Walks in the park
Park opposite the house offers plenty of walking and fabulous views from the top of the hill.
Spot of exercise
Plenty of jogging routes in daylight hours but more limited during darkness due to location.
Day tripping
Close to main routes to mountains, hills and coast but also 10 minutes drive from local town where buses and trains are available.
