About our home

A stunning ground floor flat in Whitley Bay, near Newcastle-upon-Tyne. We have recently moved into our flat and have lovingly decorated each room. We love the finished effect and hope you will too!

1 x Bedroom with comfortable kingsize double bed.

1 x Living room with sofa bed (sleeps two), TV (cable), DVD, music system.

1 x Study with computer (PC), printer, internet (broadband wifi).

1 x Dining room with large oak table (sits 8), bookcases and fireplace.

1 x Kitchen (brand new) with oven, microwave, fridge/freezer.

1 x Bathroom (brand new) with bath and shower.

Front garden and private back yard with plants, BBQ and patio furniture.

2 minutes walk to the beach. Beautiful walks along the sands to Tynemouth / St. Mary's Lighthouse.

2 minutes walk in the opposite direction to the town centre with shops, greengrocers, butchers, supermarket, restaurants and pubs. A small friendly town by the North Sea.

Local attractions include an aquarium, a water park and a world heritage site (Tynemouth Priory).

An ideal place to stay and explore the surrounding area with the stunning Northumberland coast, Kielder, Hadrian's Wall, Northumberland National Park, the Metro Centre and city of Durham all within easy reach.

20 minutes on the metro to the centre of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, a vibrant friendly city with excellent shopping, dining and night life.

Close to Scotland and Edinburgh (1 1/2 hours by train). Stop and visit Alnwick Castle and Gardens (home of Hogwarts - Harry Potters school!)

We are passionate about the North East and all the attractions it has to offer. We will provide comprehensive information about where to go and what to see so you can discover the delights of the region!

We are a couple called Lucy and Jon. We are both aged 28 and are keen travellers. We love the idea of 'living' (however briefly) in the place we are visiting instead of passing through as a tourist. House swapping would be the ideal way to do this.

As Lucy is a teacher we are restricted to school holidays.
