About our home

Our home is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac in the village of Whittlesford, 13 miles south of Cambridge, UK - just two train stops or about 10 minutes from the city. The village, with three pubs, a small shop, post office and station is also only an hour from London by train. There are lovely walks around the area along the fields and across to the next village. Our favourite thing about living here is the tranquillity of being in the country.
A day trip into Cambridge always provides something to feed the mind - great museums and college buildings. And the restaurant scene in the city is buzzing. If you want a big city experience, hop the train to London and see the shows and the sights.

The house is a two-level, brick-finished house with tiled roof. Two of the bedrooms upstairs have double beds and one has a single bed. There are also two bathrooms (one an en-suite). On the lower level with access to our private courtyard garden is the master bedroom with en-suite bathroom. Our living room leads through to the open plan dining room/kitchen, which opens onto the courtyard area with BBQ and Pizza oven. At the rear of the house is a small laundry room with WC attached.

PLEASE NOTE: Our house is a non-smoking home.

We are a busy couple with varied interests mainly in the arts but also enjoy the outdoors when we can find the time. We have travelled quite a bit and we would like to continue doing so. Contact us if you are planning a restful time in the UK country-side or a touch of University city culture.
