About our home

Our home is a large 4 bedroom Victorian property lovingly restored retaining the character and charm of it's heritage whilst adding modern contempory bathrooms kitchen and dining areas. There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms on the first floor, two sitting rooms both with satellite television, DVD players and games consoles, a large open plan Kitchen dining area with french doors opening onto the back garden, separate utility room and downstairs bathroom with toilet and sink to the ground floor.
Externally the back garden has a large decked area ideal for dining outside, outdoor dining table and seating, two bbq's, wooden climbing frame and large 15ft trampoline. We also have two adult mountain bikes and one child's bike with helmets etc for you to use.
We are situated in a leafy woodland area but only 10-15 minutes out of the centre of Manchester, a lovely cosmopolitan city with fabulous shops. It has a buzzing cafe culture and there are many good bars and restaurants to suit all tastes, we are happy to recommend our favourites. There are art galleries, museums, theatres and music venues offering wonderful concerts and productions. Bridgewater Hall is home to the Halle Orchestra and there are many outdoor music events held over the summer months for all of the family to enjoy. We are happy to send you details of what is on during your visit so you can plan ahead and arrange tickets etc.
Locally The Marriott Spa, Golf Country Club is a few minutes away from the house offering great sports facilities including a gym, spa, large indoor pool, varied exercise and dance classes, golf practice areas and an 18 hole golf course. It is in a lovely setting, nice to relax with friends and family and has a good choice of restaurants. We have a corporate membership which you are welcome to use. The local cricket and tennis club is within strolling distance, on a summers evening it's lovely to relax and watch the local cricket team whilst enjoying a drink or two! There are also outdoor tennis courts available to use. Good local restaurants and charming pubs are plentiful and all within a few minutes drive, again we are happy to recommend our favourites.
For sports enthusiasts Old Trafford, home to Manchester United is only a 10 minute drive away, Lancashire Cricket Club, Rugby Clubs and Cycling Venues are all within a 20 minute drive and there are plenty of walking routes locally and in the breathtaking Lake District for you to enjoy.

Marriott country club offering a fabulous golf course gymnasium and excersice clubs. Lovely place to relax for all the family. We also have a corporate golf membership which you are welcome to use.
Day tripping
The beautiful Lake District is aproimately a 50 minute drive, as is the Peak District. There are many beautiful towns including historical town of Chester, Harrogate and York City. It is also only 2hours by train into the centre of London making it an easy day trip
