About our home

Our delightful home is situated in the popular village of Bubwith, which has plenty of amenities including a general store, a well-regarded Indian restaurant and the award winning delicatessen ‘The Jug and Bottle’. Our house was built in 2005 and we have lived in it since. It is beautifully presented and very clean, with neutral wall colours and plenty of characterful furnishings. We are situated just minutes away from the popular Oaks Golf Club and Spa. Whether you fancy a round of golf, or a relaxing trip to the beauty spa, the Oaks is a lovely place to spend an afternoon. There is a very friendly feel within the village of Bubwith, and the famous city of York is just 25 minutes away. The city is full of activities and historical sights for all the family to enjoy. With its magnificent Minster and splendid shopping, York cannot fail to impress. A trip to the renowned Betty’s Tea Rooms is a must! York also has a bustling nightlife, with a range of clubs and trendy bars. If you prefer the peace of the countryside, then Bubwith will suit you too. Our house is situated just next to the River Ouse, and you can walk for miles next to the river, through a birdwatcher's paradise, sometimes with the accompaniment of swans! Harrogate is less than an hour from Bubwith, and is the perfect place to go for the day. With its lovely shops, historic features and great places to dine, Harrogate will suit every family member. Fishing and horse riding are other possible activities in the vicinity. There are various racecourses in the area, and a day at York Races is great fun. There are plenty of good quality eating places in the area, varying from quirky cafes and pubs to fine hotels. Our home has a little summer house in the south facing back garden, as well as a table and chairs where you can enjoy a bottle of your favourite drink from the Jug and Bottle!

We are open to non-simultaneous swaps if necessary.

We have bikes which you can use if you fancy cycling, and we are open to the idea of swapping cars. There is a wide-screen TV with a full range of channels, DVD player and wi-fi available on your request.

We are hoping to arrange a suitable home swap and are looking forward to exploring some new places!
