About our home

Built in 2008 our home is ideally placed to explore all that North Yorkshire has to offer. In a semi rural location we are 15 miles North of the city of York and a mile outside the Edwardian market town of Easingwold with all facilities including pubs and coffee shops. With a large garden/paddock and terrace we have plenty of outdoor space to enjoy.

This is a great area for cycling and walking and we have a number of bikes for you to use. Indeed the Tour de France starts it's journey in North Yorkshire in 2014! The city of York, the magnificent countryside of the North Yorks Moors/Dales and coastal towns such as Whitby are easily reached. In the latter you will taste the best fish and chips imaginable and there are also plenty of country pubs to choose from nearby that serve fantstic food, real ales and fine wines.

North Yorkshire has over 20 ancient abbeys, castles and stately homes, Abbeys such as Byland, Fountains, Bolton and Rievaulx. Famous stately homes such as Castle Howard and Beningborough Hall. The cities of Harrogate, Leeds and Newcastle are less than an hour away with London only 2 hrs by train from York.

The nearest airport is Leeds Bradford (40 mins drive) followed by Manchester (2hrs). If you choose to fly to one of the London airports you could take the ideal opportunity of staying in this great city before taking a 2hr train journey to York!

We're a friendly bunch and if you're the outdoor type you'll love exploring this great english Countyside!
