Welcome to Quail Cove! We invite you to escape to our elegant private lakefront getaway in the California Sierra mountains. This is a family home in perfect harmony with its natural surroundings, while at the same time sophisticated and extremely comfortable.
It has a 75+ foot deck along two sides of the house which overlooks the lake. The two story open great room is highlighted by a floor to ceiling river rock stone fireplace, rustic barn wood ceilings, and natural slate with hand inlaid tiles all adding to the mountain sophisticated charm. The house has been renovated extensively ... the kitchen was completely remodeled in 2011 with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and italian tile floors. Three bedrooms (one on first floor, two on second floor) and an additional second floor open loft sleeping area easily make room for your larger group. The master suite has two story cathedral ceilings, an ensuite bathroom, and opens to the deck viewing the lake. We are directly on the lake with our own dock and private shoreline and you have use of our paddleboat. The house faces west which means we get the best sunsets. The yard includes several private lounging areas which overlook the lake. Top it all off with an afternoon nap in the hammock.
Our home is in a forested, private gated community at the doorstep of Yosemite National Park (30 minutes to the west gate). The community is called Pine Mountain Lake see it online at www.pinemountainlake.com.
(note if the property map picture in the LOVE listing shows Ukraine this is not correct!) It is a 2.5 hour drive from San Francisco airport (SFO). The complex is a vacation destination with it's own golf course, country club, tennis courts, pool, restaurant, and multiple beaches which are available to guests with our passes. There is a public marina on the lake which has boat rentals (power, sailboat, paddle), fishing supplies, and a marina grill. The area is both kid and senior friendly. There is an airport in the complex which accommodates small private planes and you can fly from San Francisco in less than an hour. There is also a horse riding stable in the complex. Skiing (both downhill and cross country) is nearby.
It is a 5 minute drive to the town of Groveland, CA with numerous restaurants, grocery store, library, gold rush museum, and even and old time 49er saloon with the original swinging doors from the 1800s.
