Alameda is an small island in the San Francisco bay and is 10 minutes to Berkelely and San Francisco. We have a child friendly home, with an aviary of canaries in the back yard. From our house we walk to the corner market, drive across the bridge and quickly be in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. From the house you can see one of Alameda's many harbors. Our wonderful old house is comfortable and stylish. Both bedrooms have bathrooms attached. Formal dining, classic kitchen, study, basement, W&D, fenced yard, easy parking. We have two cars, both Saabs, one is a stationwagon. There are two corner markets within walking distance, plus a great orgainic market about 8 blocks from here. A short bike ride takes you to the beach, shopping, ferry.
Our neighborhood is Caucasian, Asian, African American and many other nationalities. We are happy to live in a very safe, low crime area, and we feel safe to walk and bike all over the island of Alameda. The bus stops right on the side of our house a few times a day. Many world class museums in Oakland, San Fran, San Jose. Excellent hiking within a short drive.
We are a family of three, Patrice Bill and Annie. Annie is seven years old. Bill works in the city and is in the scientific instrumentation field, and Patrice is an at-home mom and is homeschooling Annie and doing freelance design work. We have a large dog Jasper and we're guessing we would board him if we went traveling. We also have a house cat who is very independent that we would like to see stay in the house if we leave.
