About our home

This 3 bedroom cottage is part of the original village smithy, set back from the village green in the small conservation village of Ancrum. The accomodation offers 2 double bedrooms and one single childs bedroom. There is a comfortable lounge and kitchen with dining area. The beautiful garden is to the front with secluded seating and BBQ area. Cycles would be made available as could a car.


More about us

  1. We are a close family made up of Philip and Helen both 40 something!! with Michael age 16 and Nina age 13 who enjoy travelling and would love to visit America next year. Philip and Michael like to play golf and Helen and Nina like to relax on holiday soaking up the atmosphere sightseeing and enjoying the local cuisine.

Where is it?


The historical town of Jedburgh is nearby with supemarket, many local shops and facilities. We are only 10 miles from the scenic Scottish - English border and 40 miles south of Edinburgh. There is easy access to golf,fishing and walking in the area.
The village of Ancrum has a small local shop and a family friendly traditional pub only a short distance from the house.
