Ranch house 2 bedroom, study dining and living room. All with picture windows out onto a 37 acre park with pond. There is ice skating in the winter. All modern appliances, high speed internet. Two fireplaces (with woodpile) All painted white and lots of uncluttered space. Underhouse garage.
Our house is at the end of the street which leads to the park. We have a neighborhood of large single-family homes with fantastic neighbors. A number are from international locations. We have sidewalks (are not suburban) and are 3 blocks from Massachusetts Avenue which is a central bus line with very frequent service. (15 minutes to Harvard Sq. 22 minutes to downtown Boston on the subway) There are stores, restaurants, movie theaters, and coffee shops along the avenue and we can walk 4 blocks to the library.
We are retired professionals. Husband still teaches college history course on line. Main interests are travel, books, architecture, movies and theater. We will lend you our Museum passes for your stay. We have bikes but since we live up a steep hill from Mass. Ave It is daunting getting home but our bike path through town goes out to Lexington and into Boston. Our bikes are 3 speed. I am a volunteer guide for Boston By Foot, an achitectural education foundation and have lots of material on Boston. Husband wrote history of the historic park we live on.
