About our home

Spacious and clean home in the countryside of Asheville, NC. Minutes from the city, Blue Ridge Parkway, hiking, and river. Our family of four (five if you count grandpa for 6 months of each year) enjoys our one acre level yard with swimming pool and swing set. We have a small dog, an outdoor cat. Houses are spread apart as the surrounding are country like ~ the neighbors are quiet and friendly.

Our home is a 1970's newly remodeled home with very little clutter. We have hardwood floors throughout and comfortable, spacious bedrooms. Our finished basement includes a home office, a treadmill, a foos ball table, and small pool table. We have cable TV, high speed internet, and an outdoor swimming pool with private deck and patio. Our dining room table can seat 10. There is a furnsihed apartment in the above ground basement. Ideal setting for children.

Asheville is lovely in the spring, summer, and fall. The city is often called European in nature and some call it the "Paris of the South." Activities in the area include: Biltmore Estate, Blue Ridge Parkway, downtown Asheville scene, live music 365 days a year, local microbreweries, hiking, horseback riding, river rafting, fishing, and more. Climate is incredible...lots of sunshine.

We live in a country setting with a small neighborhood bordering one side of our 1 acre yard. This neighborhood is a tiny cul de sac with fewer than 10 homes. We have lived here 7 years and have never heard of any sort of problem. The countryside outside of Asheville is quiet and safe.

We are a family of four with two children. Steve is a naturopathic physician who runs a private practice downtown. Carrie is an executive recruiting professional who works part-time from a home office. Our two children are ages 11 and 8. Our interests include outdoor activities, sports, pets, and reading.

We are English speaking with some knowledge of French.
