This upper middle class neighborhood is composed of a nice mix of young professional families, older working families who may not want to retire even though eligible and retired couples. People who live here are from Texas, California, Indiana, Wisconsin, Florida, New York, New Jersey, India, Finland and all over. They come here for the abundant sunshine, mostly dry air, comfortable winters, to be near their children, for the business opportunities of the state and its three cities among the top ten largest cities in the U.S. which are within 3 hours (Dallas, Houston and San Antonio).
We love the friendliness of the neighborhood, the quiet and natural beauty of the rural area, yet the proximity to shopping, restaurants and food store. There is a winery with a tratorria, an outstanding barbecue place, a very good country pub and a brand new diner.
My wife is a registered nurse who has spent her working career in the operating room, first as a surgical technologist, then first assist and perioperative nurse. She is devoted to the care of her patients for the short time she is with them. She is equally devoted to her family and pet, a 4 year old Cavachon, hybrid of Bichon Frise and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. She is allergic to cats. Depending on the length of our vacation, we would bring our dog, who is a companion dog, with us. If it is a short vacation, he would stay home. She speaks English with a small amount of Spanish. She grew up raising and training horses and competing in barrel racing up to the national level in high school rodeo. Her interests include working out, water exercise and gardening.
