About our home

This beautiful 1940's home, made of solid Texas limestone, was completely remodeled (down to the studs!, with all systems brand new) last year. Beautiful open plan kitchen, soaring ceiling in the living room and windows everywhere give it the feeling of a treehouse. It has elegantly simple marble bathrooms, an enormous Master suite and 3 spacious bedrooms and 2 bathrooms upstairs plus a lovely back deck overlooking the beautiful garden and Waller Creek below.

If you don't know Austin, it is a wonderful city to visit. Buzzing and lively, it is home to the largest of the University of Texas campuses. It is the capital of Texas and location of the trendy SXSW festival and the new F1 Circuit of the Americas. Austin has a lively music scene (check out Sixth Street too!) and is incredibly fitness-conscious with an array of great facilities for athlete and casual tourist alike.... like Barton Springs, Zilker Park and "Town Lake".

Lots to see you and do ... and fantastic restaurants ranging from casual/inexpensive taco trailers to fine dining, with everything in-between. If you love Tex-Mex or BBQ, you will particularly love the food in Austin! And what better way to wash down some good Tex-Mex than an icy cold, authentic margarita!
