About our home

Recently remodeled, our 4 bedroom ranch home has all you need on one floor with a large playroom downstairs (complete with a pool table, foosball table and ping pong table in the garage). The well-stocked kitchen and baths have new cabinets and granite countertops and all new stainless steel appliances. Our pool and large deck are perfect for lounging around or grilling out in the summer. Hiking trails are just a few houses up the road and the Mountains to Sea trail is a few blocks away. The house is located in a well established neighborhood just minutes from shops and the Biltmore Estate. Downtown Asheville is 10 minutes away.

Asheville is really the most wonderful small city. The New York Times called it an Appalachian Shangri La. Outside Magazine, Rolling Stone Magazine and Modern Maturity rank Asheville as one of the top ten places to live and visit in the United States. The region is an outdoor enthusiast's paradise offering mountain biking, golfing, hiking, kayaking, fishing, river rafting, camping and horseback riding in some of the most beautiful mountains in our country. Asheville has many superb restaurants, a thriving art community that includes numerous theaters and art galleries, a varied nightlife scene complete with street musicians and clubs. Just about every weekend from spring until fall, Asheville and its surrounding towns play host to all kinds of festivals. The Blue Ridge Parkway and The Biltmore Estate (the nation's largest private home) (both minutes from our house) top the list of Asheville’s best-known delights. Asheville offers an eclectic mix of music, art, theater, restaurants plus some of the best craft beer in the country. We are about an hour from the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. We promise you that you will fall in love with Asheville.
Check out some other fun things to do:
- Ziplining:
- Tubing down the river:
- Rafting down the river:
- Visit the Biltmore, America's largest home:
- Take a hike - here's a link to 60 great hikes all 80 miles or less from Asheville:
- See a waterfall - including where the Hunger Games filmed:
- Learn about the Cherokee (Oconaluftee Village is great!)
Plus so much more!

Getting to Asheville:
Asheville Airport (AVL) is 20 min away. Greenville/Spartanburg Airport (GSP) is 1 hr 15 min from our house. Charlotte Airport (CLT) is a 2 hour 15 min drive. And Atlanta Airport (ATL) is just 3.5 hours from our house (if not hitting Atlanta at rush hour).

Cool bars
You'll find dozens of craft breweries downtown, which is a few minutes by car or uber.

Asheville is known for its fine mountain crafts and art scene. The River Arts District has many artist studios to stroll, the Folk Arts Center carries only local crafters and downtown also has great art galleries, independent bookstores, and funky shops.
Bit of culture
Shindig on the Green on Saturday nights will definitely make you feel like you are in the Appalachian mountains - clogging, bluegrass and local musicians all take the stage downtown in McGuire Green. NC Stage Company and Asheville Community Theater spotlight local talent. We love the street musicians, artists and magicians that line the streets.

NC Arboretum is a short drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Hikes abound everywhere
Spot of exercise
Golfing, hiking, rafting, tubing, kayaking, mountain biking - it's all here!
Day tripping
The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is an hour drive. The Cherokee Nation is also an hour drive (see Oconoluftee village). Greenville and Charlotte are not far. Gatlinburg and Dollywood Amusement Park and Splash Country are an easy day trip.
