About our home

Our Home is situated on 2.5 private acres on a secluded gravel road. We have a large covered porch for outside dining overlooking a small pond with a lovely view of the woods. The greatroom is very large with a great fireplace, built-in bar, lots of windows and books. The kitchen is very large with a seperate woodburning stove and raised hearth, gas cooktop, fridge with icemaker. The first floor is all tile and contains a half bath, laundry room with washer and dryer, great room and Master Suite with private bath, office, fax and internet. The outside has a hot tub, garden and a lovely view of the woods. The second floor is plush with carpet, two bedrooms with a shared bath. Fine linens and fluffy towels provided.

More about us

My wife Kelly and I are in our early 50's and both professionals. We enjoy our home because of its seclusion yet close proximity to shopping and nightlife. We bought our home because it is quiet, rural and a great place to entertain or just unwind with some wine on the beautiful front porch. We enjoy exploring new areas. We have traveled extensively and speak bishon Duetsch and some Japanese as well as our native English. We are good stewards of property and expect the same in exchange. We prefer to exchange with professional adults. We would like to correspond via emaill to get to know our friends exchanging.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Our home is located between Wilkes-Barre, PA and Blakeslee, PA at the foot of the Pocono Mountains. We are approximately 2 hour drive to NYC and 3.5 hour drive to Washington, D.C., 1 hour drive to New Jersey and 2 hours to Connecticut. We are members of the Lake Association and there is a lake for swimming, fishing and boating across the highway. Wilkes-Barre is 15 minutes by car North and has excellent shopping, gourmet grocery stores, casual and fine dining and museums. Fifteen minutes South is the heart of the Poconos with skiing,hiking, and lake activities; horseback riding and indoor water parks. Francis Walter dam is a ten minute ride with hiking trails, fishing and a beautiful dam. We are surrounded by woods with streams and trails for walking.
