This is a great location to explore Washington, or other location on the East Coast. Washington has endless cultural sites, tours, museums many with free admission. Many historic estates and famous civil war battle fields within a 1-2 hours drive. One hour drive to Sky Line drive in Shenandoah national park, 3-hour train ride or 4-hour drive to New York City. On the not so cultural or scenic side there are two amusement parks close by with mega roller coasters etc.
We are John, an American working for an international organization in Washington DC, and Rosemary, originally from England and a recently retired pre-school director. We have three boys, who may or may not travel with us. Ian 23, is a college student studying graphic art, Brian is 22, also a student studying Sports Management at Towson University. Jeff is 18 and will start studying engineering at Auburn in the fall. They are all interested in almost all sports, and video games. We love traveling to interesting places.
