About our home

A beautiful house, with a large living room and an adjoining dining room, with two downstairs bedrooms. All hard wood floors and original wood interior finishing.
A grand piano is in one of the rooms, there are many comfortable chairs to sit and relax and read or listen to music. The neighbourhood is quiet and friendly but within walking distance to some nice restaurants and local shops.
There is parking outside the house with no permit needed. Bikes available for use if asked, in exploration of the Boston bike trails.

More about us

  1. We are both teachers. We work in Newton (US) teaching Math and French in High school. We are very responsible and do not smoke, we take very good care of our house and understand the importance of a home and taking care of other people's homes. We have travelled extensively and stayed in other peoples'homes in France, Italy, Spain and all over North and Central America. We are open to travelling anywhere and would hope you would enjoy our house and the sights of the North East of America.

  2. We love classical music, the mountains, the sea and nature and quiet.
As well as visiting historical cities and learning about new cultures and of-course trying new food!

Where is it?

A welcoming house in a friendly neighbourhood. Walking distance to the commuter rail to downtown Boston and to local shops.
At the end of the street, you can find the local diners, the bakery, the supermarket and the Boston School of Modern Languages. There is also a nice outdoor patio seating area for the local restaurants. Every Saturday the farmer's market is in the square from May to beginning of November. The famous Arnold Arboretum (owned by Harvard University) is within walking distance.
Boston has many museums and historical sights and is within driving distance to the coast (Cape Anne), on the North Shore (with Salem en route!) and to the south Cape Cod and the islands of Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. For trips further afield, a weekend takes you to Montréal or New York by coach or train.
We hope you will enjoy our city as much as we do!
