“Clare and Phil are a great couple with a lovely comfortable home (with garden hot tub!) close to the centre of Boulder. The location was ideal as we could choose the short walk into town, or take a more challenging route through the mountain trails at the back of their house. Boulder is a fabulous town with a relaxed vibe, friendly people, and a huge variety of cafes, restaurants, micro breweries, independent shops, musems, and a farmers market. The bus stop is just a short walk from the house and has an excellent service into Boulder, the airport and Denver - a great city to explore for a day or two. We also used Clare and Phil's car to visit some of the many places they left us information on. We hiked in the Flatirons (very close) and explored further afield enjoying the scenic Peak to Peak drive with its quaint towns and walks for all ages and abilities. The Rocky Mountain National Park is less than an hour's drive away and is magnificant for drives, hiking, bouldering and wildlife spotting. Because it is so close, we were able to take advantage of the 7 day pass for an extra $10 ($35) negating the need to arrange a permit for camping. We even got some unexpected snowfall so were able to take a hike in deep snow and see a frozen lake while enjoying the lovely sunshine. We had 2 fantastic weeks at Clare and Phil's house and wished we had longer as there is so much to do. If you get a chance to exchange with these guys, don't say no!!”

Where is it?
Our neighborhood is safe, clean, quiet and child-friendly. There is a mix of sweet older houses like ours and newer, attractive larger homes. We are close to downtown Boulder, and it is an easy seven-minute bus ride into town. The bus service in town is terrific. Boulder is known for being environmentally-conscious, and is also a haven for athletes of all kinds. There are a great many outdoor activities--such as hiking trails--five minutes from our door. When it snows, a neighborhood park is groomed for cross-country skiing. Boulder has a lot of bike lanes as well. The downtown has a fantastic pedestrian mall, with great shopping, restaurants, and street performers. Boulder is known for its restaurants, in addition to everything else. There are art galleries, live and movie theatres and natural beauty all around. In the winter, some of the best ski resorts in the country are within two hours' drive. There is a mid-sized resort only 45 minutes away. It's a fantastic place to live and to visit.
