About our home

Our home is in one of the most desirable neighborhoods in the Denver metropolitan area. Boulder is about 35 miles from Denver. The house was built in 1956 and has been remodeled. The kitchen is gorgeous, and is perfect for entertaining. There are 2+ bedrooms, one on the main floor with a king-sized bed, and one on the lower level, with a queen-sized bed. There is a fold-out couch in the living room on the main floor, as well as an office with computer, etc. An office/studio on the lower level can accommodate an inflatable mattress or cot. There is one full bathroom on the main floor, and another on the lower level with washer/dryer facilities. We have a hot tub on the back deck, a Weber grill, and lovely gardens in the spring/summer months. We also have a sweet cat. One or two cars may be available. The home is not huge or grand, but is very attractive and comfortable. We have a view of the Flatirons--the mountains that are on the edge of Boulder--from the living room. We love our house, and living in Boulder!

  1. My husband is the President and CEO of the Arvada Center, a multidisciplinary arts center, and I am a freelance costume designer. We both turned 61 this year. We have a 24 year old son, and a married 35 year old daughter who is an actor. We may be traveling with them, or just ourselves. We are interested in travelling almost everywhere.

  2. We love hiking and other physical activities as well as theatre, museums, music, dance and all cultural and arts events and good food and drink!

Neighbourhood

Our neighborhood is safe, clean, quiet and child-friendly. There is a mix of sweet older houses like ours and newer, attractive larger homes. We are close to downtown Boulder, and it is an easy seven-minute bus ride into town. The bus service in town is terrific. Boulder is known for being environmentally-conscious, and is also a haven for athletes of all kinds. There are a great many outdoor activities--such as hiking trails--five minutes from our door. When it snows, a neighborhood park is groomed for cross-country skiing. Boulder has a lot of bike lanes as well. The downtown has a fantastic pedestrian mall, with great shopping, restaurants, and street performers. Boulder is known for its restaurants, in addition to everything else. There are art galleries, live and movie theatres and natural beauty all around. In the winter, some of the best ski resorts in the country are within two hours' drive. There is a mid-sized resort only 45 minutes away. It's a fantastic place to live and to visit.
