About our home

Our home is an extended bungalow with an upstairs! It is bigger than it looks in the photo. Downstairs there is the lounge with 28" TV and DVD, kitchen/dining room, bathroom with separate WC and a study/music room with a digital piano and computer with high speed internet access. Upstairs there are double and twin bedrooms with an en suite shower room and WC which can be accessed from the other room if required. There is a large rear garden, mainly lawn and a large patio area. There is a gas BBQ available. There is a large front and side driveway for parking the car(s).

More about us

  1. Bob is semi-retired and does some supply teaching and Brenda works part-time in a bank. We have been married 26 years and have a 21 year old son Adam who attends the local university studying computing . Bob plays the guitar at a local church and both of us are members of a Christian band which plays locally. We have travelled quite extensively in NE USA and Canada, and also in France. We have never home-exchanged before and hope that it will be a good experience. We will take great care in your home and respect your privacy and we hope that you will do likewise. Car exchange possible. We need a PET-FREE environment due to the odd allergy.

Where is it?

Our home is on the northern edge of Bournemouth (about 4 miles from the town centre and award winning beach which are easily accessible by bus). We are in a quiet road of bungalows owned by a mixture of people from young families to retirees. There are several good shopping areas within a few miles and a small supermarket within a 5 minute walk. There are riverside walks within a few minutes. The New Forest is only half an hour's drive to the east and the picturesque Dorset coast and Purbecks an equal distance to the west. There are many local golf courses and sports facilities. London can be reached by train, car or coach in less than two hours and Bournemouth is a good base for visiting other places of interest such as Oxford, Stonehenge, Salisbury, Bath and many others.
