This is a traditional American log cabin 10 minutes from the historic town of Breckenridge. It was recently remodeled and includes 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms – one with a whirlpool tub, gourmet kitchen with professional appliances, balcony overlooking the woods and mountains, outdoor hot tub and sauna. There are lots of movies, games and sporting equipment there for you to use.
The home, situated in the Rocky Mountains, is surrounded by blue spruce trees with views of the mountains, but is close enough to the town of Breckenridge to drive for dinner and the Breckenridge ski resort – only 10 minutes. It’s an all season cabin, with tons of winter and summer activities and festivals. You can hike or snowshoe to the old mine just up the hill from the house. Breckenridge boasts some of the best winter and summer activities in the country, with plenty of shopping, dining and spa going as well.
The cabin is owned by Cathy & John Bauchwitz from Chicago and their daughter Carrie Bach from Denver. John owns a manufacturing business, and Carrie owns a boutique cupcake shop in Denver and is also a freelance writer. She has two young, beautiful children named Lia and James. We all love to travel together when we can. We are a close knit family that enjoys the urban life as well as the outdoors. We especially love great restaurants! We have traveled all over the world--from Africa to Russia to New Zealand--and want to start doing this again, as it has been several years since a big trip. We also love the idea of short trips to escapes in the U.S such as the beaches in California and New York City. We are open to anything at all, but do not have an interest in traveling "down under" at this time.
