About our home

We have a very charming and bright two-story partially attached townhome in a very centrally located suburb of Nashville, Tennessee. There are several restaurants and shops nearby, as well as easy access to major roads. Downtown Nashville is approximately a 15 minute drive.

Available with our home is the use of our Saab convertible for easy travel around the city.

Our home has a downstairs living room and dining room as well as a fully-stocked kitchen with a dishwasher. The downstairs also has a 1/2 bath (toilet and sink only). The entirety of the downstairs has lovely hardwood flooring and large windows. The downstairs also has a washer and dryer.

The upstairs in our home has two bedrooms, each with their own private bathrooms. The first bedroom has a large queen-sized bed that can comfortably sleep two adults. The second bedroom as a futon that folds out into a double bed that can easily sleep two children, or if necessary, two adults.

A very nice part of our home is the large backyard. We also have a deck with a table, chairs, and gas grill. During the summer time, we plant a very nice-sized herb and vegetable garden - we would love to share the produce with you!

Note: We are also open to non-simultaneous home swaps.

Buzzy restaurants
The Watermark for fine dining, City House for a dialed down LA-Style eatery, Taco Mamacita for excellent Mexican, Margot Cafe for great French-American, Prince's Chicken for a soul-food experience, and the Copper Kettle for traditional Southern fare
Cool bars
Patterson House is an award-winning bar fashioned after the 1920's prohibition era with superb drinks, Whiskey Kitchen is a buzzing atmosphere for young-professionals, and Robert's Western Wear is a great place to hear live music and dance
Cozy cafés
The Edgehill Cafe is cozy and warm with excellent coffees and great food, we also love the Nest for Saturdy morning crepes
Retail therapy
The Hill Center houses the best boutique-type shops in Nashville including Billy Reid for me, Anthropologie for women and home, H. Audrey for haute couture, a specialty paper shoppe, and Whole Foods market are also a part of this nifty district. If you would like the more traditional shopping mall experience, the Green Hills Mall is only 2-3 minute drive from the Hill Center
Bit of culture
The Nashville Symphony is a lovely addition to our city, as well as the Frist Art Museum which brings international art to Nashville. The Belle Meade Mansion and Cheekwood are also beautiful historic tributes to our fine southern city
Walks in the park
Centennial Park offers a spacious place for relaxing and viewing the Nashville Parthenon. Also very nearby our home is the Ellington Agricultural Center with miles of unpaved walking trails and bubbling Tennessee brooks.
Spot of exercise
We often visit Radnor Lake, a beautiful lake with paved and unpaved trails.
Day tripping
Visit the Jack Daniel's Distillery for tours and tastings, about an hour drive. About 30 minutes south of our home is Downtown Franklin - a lovely little southern town with excellent shopping, eating and sightseeing. Take the convertible on the Natchez Trace for a leisurely afternoon drive of scenic Tennessee.
