About our home

The apartment is a beautiful, incredibly bright and warm studio with a separate bathroom and kitchen. The main living area has lovely wooden floors and boasts a great view of the Brooklyn skyline.

The apartment is located on the fifth floor of a five floor walk-up. Although this is a bit of a trek, being on the top floor is incredibly private and quite. Solid concrete walls keep out all sounds. We are one of two apartments on the 5th fl, and because there is only one apartment on each of the other four floors (6 total apartments), the building is very private, safe and incredibly friendly.

The main studio houses a to-die-for tempur pedic queen bed, a desk, table and chairs. There is a blow-up twin mattress for extra guests with many extra blankets, comforters, etc. The kitchen is fully stocked for all cooking needs. The apartment also has Wifi internet access.

The studio apartment is centrally located in the beautiful and very hip neighborhood of Fort Greene Brooklyn. Every saturday the Fort Green market, two blocks away, hosts an incredibly popular eclectic market with vendors selling antiques, music, vintage goods and more. Dekalb and Lafayette are the two main streets of the neighborhood, each filled with top-rated restaurants, bars, shopping, spas and more. Fort Greene park and the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) are a 7-minute walk and offer great opportunities for sporting, relaxation and cultural/art consumption. The neighborhood also has great delis, markets, wine shops, and cafes for eating on the go. We are located close to the G and C trains with a 10-min walk to Atlantic Center which hosts many more trains (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, N, Q, B).

Fort Green is also placed between Williamsburg and Park Slope, two very cool neighborhoods, for shopping, people-watching, and bar-hoping. Local car services, cabs, subways and buses can take you to these neighborhoods in less than 10 mins. As Fort Greene is located directly, next to downtown Brooklyn, getting to Manhattan is quick and easy. A 15 minute subway ride or cab will do the job.

I have been living in New York City for 7 years and living in Brooklyn for 4. I absolutely love Brooklyn and strongly encourage visitors to New York to discover many of its hidden gems. I work in Chelsea but prefer to spend my time in Brooklyn, as its' shopping, restaurants, and nightlife and more dynamic, laid back and hip.

I work as a film sales agent and spend much of my time traveling to film festivals around the world, including international festivals in Cannes, Berlin, Toronto, Mexico, Rome, California and more. As I have tired of hotel rooms over the years, I am very interested in finding interested home-owners with whom to swap apartments.

I speak English y hablo español también. Mis parientes son de México.
