Our apartment is a two bedroom. There is a master bedroom with full bath, a smaller bedroom with a pull-out day bed, and a third bedroom with bunk bed for our daughter. There is a second guest bathroom (with a bathtub) off the main hall. We have a large kitchen and living room. The apartment is large (1200 square feet), quiet, and airy, furnished with mid-century modern furniture. It is the third floor of a four-floor brownstone, which was formerly a single-family mansion. We are two blocks from the subway and one block from our local park. We have a washing machine and dryer directly in the building. And we have a TV, DVD, Internet, and a dishwasher.
We live in a Brooklyn neighborhood filled with 19th century brownstones. It is 10 minutes by subway (or an even faster taxi ride) to Manhattan. The area has excellent restaurants, bakeries, and cafes, a lovely park, and a friendly small-town atmosphere. We’ll leave you maps and notes about what’s terrific in the neighborhood. It has a really nice small-town feel, with Manhattan just over the bridge. For more information on the area, please take a look at the following Web site:
We are two anthropologists (and an almost-four-year-old daughter, who is easygoing). We are a quiet family and would respect your home.
