For a bit of local color, try the local Mohawk Pub.

Walks in the park
Enjoy open fields--stone walls, cows (with cow-bells) wild turkeys, coyotes, and even an occasional bear or two. Orchard with lots of apple and other fruit trees, blueberries, and chestnuts.
Spot of exercise
Hike miles of trails and old roads right from our front door or go to nearby Deerfield River, perfect for trout fishing, whitewater rafting, swimming. Winter snowshoe, ski (one mile from Berkshire East) or go sledding right in our front yard.
Day tripping
Williamstown--about half an hour away, Lenox and Great Barrington are a little further. Then there's Bennington, VT, or Brattleboro -- about an hour away.
