Our home is a 4 bedroom, 3 1/2 bathroom, 3200 sf Craftsman style home in the beautiful, walkable eco-community of Serenbe. We are 30 minutes south of the Atlanta airport out in the country! Our home features a large back deck, two screened porches, and a view of Serenbe Farms.
The upstairs bedrooms feature twin over full bunk beds in one room, a large Jack and Jill bath, and a toddler bed and twin bed in the other room. The upstairs guest room holds a twin and a full bed. These bedrooms are off of a large den with sleeping porch. The screened sleeping porch has a set of bunk beds for outdoor sleepers and a ceiling fan to keep cool.
The master suite downstairs has a king bed and a lovely large bath. The kitchen, office, and living areas are quite spacious. We have a six-seater golf cart that we use around the community. Our home is a short walk to Fern's Market, the natural playground, and the in-ground trampoline on the green. We have bikes for children of all ages so you haven't got to bring your own. The home is child-friendly as we have four small children. The home is new and was built in 2011. The Serenbe community is a lovely, relaxing escape and home to the 2012 HGTV Green Home.
This is where we live: http://www.serenbecommunity.com/ Check out www.campserenbe.com -- a wonderful children's camp just across the community, and www.serenbeplayhouse.com -- you can walk to a top-nothch farm-to-table restaurant, see a world-class performance, and walk home through the beautiful Serenbe streets. Our weekly farm share is yours for the taking -- you can pick it up on Tuesday night on foot.
Serenbe is a community of hamlets connected by looping country roads and well-worn footpaths that make walking easier than getting in a car. A community of private gardens and public farms. And trails for walking, hiking and biking that connect with a future 98-mile regional greenway system.
This is the kind of place where you have three gourmet, destination restaurants in your backyard, the Serenbe Stables and the freedom to ride for miles right outside your back door and, nationally known artists exhibiting in the art gallery across the street. Where you’re be able to enjoy outdoor performances, films, lectures and readings. Where you can stargaze with your neighbors on rooftop gardens or by outdoor fireplaces. Where you can gather around a community bonfire at the end of a thoroughly enjoyable day. Serenbe is all that and more, with the big-city cultural life of Atlanta just 45 minutes away. Not to mention an international airport even closer than that.
Come and bring the children for Camp Serenbe! After day camp, take the kids for soft serve at Fern's, to the animal petting zoo behind the Inn, or to the treehouse. Grab our fishing poles and head to the lake right across the way. This is a wonderful spot for a family get away.
