About our home

Huge - 1400 sqft - condo located in the heart of downtown Chicago! Amazing views of the skyline, river and State Street. Located in the heart of the theater district and just across the street from the world famous Macy's. Located right next to the iconic Chicago Theater! And, if things couldn't get any better, the condo is just a few minutes walk to Michigan Avenue, Millennium Park, the Riverwalk and the Bean. Plus, it has a huge balcony with views of some of the most famous architecture in the city. While beautiful during the day, many of these buildings light up at night, such as the Wrigley Building, Jeweler Building and Tribune Tower! Nothing short of spectacular any time of the year.

You need to be okay with living with, loving and feeding our 8lb cat named Simon who does not like to leave this lovely property, but who will be your best friend after just one feeding and a few minutes of petting. He has a litterbox which requires only one scooping daily. He is super soft and super affectionate but if you are allergic or adverse to cats and their care, then, unfortunately, this property is not for you.

We offer one queen size bed for two, as well as one very comfortable couch that can easily sleep another person.

As the icing on the cake, we live right above a gourmet city Walgreens. As a result, you will have ridiculously easy access to any simple cooking and convenience items that you may need, such as eggs, bacon, cheese, wine & beer, bread, deli meats, milk, cookies, ice cream and other personal effects. It's like you didn't even leave home! Plus, we are right down the street from a Trader Joe's, Jewel, Mariano's and the ever-fantastic Eataly (https://www.eataly.com/us_en/stores/chicago/). We also have a wide variety of order-in options, such as Grub Hub. As a result, you can dine-in with the best views of the city! There are also fun cooking classes right down the street at Eataly, Sur La Table, the Chopping block, etc. In terms of outside dining, there is everything from deep dish pizza and hotdogs, to the hippest and most upscale restaurants in the city just blocks (at most) away. Plus, in Chicago, we have a Chinatown, Italian village, Greek village, Korean neighborhood, Indian neighborhood, Polish neighborhood, etc. - the cuisine here NEVER gets boring. The culinary experiences in Chicago are simply end-less.

We are also less than a block away from ALL (yes, this is not an exaggeration) city elevated train lines, which can take you directly to either of our two major airports - Midway and O'Hare, or almost any neighborhood in Chicago that you may want. You'll love living in the center of it all!

Neighbourhood

The Loop is the heart of city and it’s bursting with iconic Chicago attractions, including historic architecture, river cruises, Millennium Park, the Chicago Riverwalk, a vibrant theater district, incredible dining, shopping along State Street…and that’s just for starters.

As Chicago’s official downtown area, the Loop is celebrated for its dynamic architecture and big city buzz. To get a grasp on the area’s architectural legacy, start your visit with one of the many great architecture river cruises, like the Chicago Architecture Foundation Center River Cruise aboard Chicago’s First Lady Cruises.

The Loop is also home to the award-winning Chicago Riverwalk, a pedestrian-only pathway lined with great waterfront restaurants, the McCormick Bridgehouse & Chicago River Museum, and the mind-blowing digital art display Art on theMART.

On the lakefront side of the Loop, you’ll also find the Millennium Park Campus — home to iconic Cloud Gate (aka “The Bean”), Crown Fountain, peaceful Lurie Garden, and the Jay Pritzker Pavilion that hosts legendary music festivals like the Chicago Blues Festival, Chicago Jazz Festival, and a free summer music series and film series. Right next door, you can rock climb, ice skate, rollerblade and play at whimsical Maggie Daley Park.

Get your culture fix at the historic Art Institute of Chicago, one of the top museums in the world. It’s also one of the oldest and largest art museums in the country, home to one of the most impressive collections of Impressionist art in the world.

Nearby, the Chicago Cultural Center is a stunning landmark filled with free exhibits, art, and performances. Gaze up at the largest Tiffany stained glass dome in the world while you’re there. And at Skydeck in Willis Tower (formerly Sears Tower), you can step out onto The Ledge — a glass box that extends outside the building, 1,353 feet up.

Last but not least, the Loop is where you’ll find Chicago’s celebrated Theatre District, buzzing with Tony Award-winning shows, world premieres, and glittering marquees at the likes of the Auditorium Theatre, the Chicago Theater, the Cadillac Palace Theatre, and the Nederlander Theatre.

Kayak the skyscraper canyon formed by the Chicago River. Enjoy free classical concerts surrounded by architectural greatness at the Chicago Cultural Center. Explore the city’s underground tunnel system with a Pedway tour. Enjoy our nearby beaches in the summertime.

Taste, shop and explore the neighborhoods - you are at the center of it all with the elevated train system (the "el") connecting you to almost every neighborhood in the city. Explore rich histories, diverse cultural traditions and hidden treasures throughout the city. Plus, you are only a few minutes walk from the famous Michigan mile - filled with more shopping and entertainment delights. World class spas are steps away at the Langham hotel and Spa Wit.

Buzzy restaurants
Deep dish pizza, classic Italian, Thai, Indian, German, American, pubs - we have it all - the list of great food spots in Chicago is simply far too great to even start to list out. I love them all!
