About our home

Our condo occupies the bottom two levels of a 4 story, 3 unit building. Our home is only four years old, so we have all the modern conveniences: double ovens, microwave, washer/dryer, central heat and air, etc. We have 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths, a great room with living, dining and kitchen, as well as a separate family room. Off the family room is a shady patio, perfect for coffee in the morning and cocktails in the evening. Its a very spacious home in a great neighborhood. We are happy to offer it for exchange.

More about us

  1. My name is Meghan and I am a real estate agent. My husband Aaron is a scientist. We are originally from California and New Zealand respectively. We love to travel and met while living in England. Aaron loves sports and outdoor activities, while I enjoy history and culture. We are looking for homes that sleep at least 6 because we would like my parents and sister and brother-in-law to be able to join us. We are looking to go to New Mexico and Mexico(somewhere beachy) in 2007 and New Zealand in 2008.

Where is it?

Chicago abounds with things to do. The city is home to world famous museums and cultural attractions including the Art Institute of Chicago, the Field Museum, the Shedd Aquarium, the Lyric Opera and the Steppenwolf Theater. Our professional sports teams include the Cubs, the White Socks, the Bears, and the Bulls. The city is also known as a center for architecture and the Architecture Boat Tours are very popular. Families enjoy Navy Pier, Lincoln Park Zoo and the Children's Museum. Chicago is a city of neighborhoods and each neighborhood is unique and worthy of exploration. Our home is located on a beautiful tree-lined street in the hip Wicker Park/East Village neighborhood. The area is a mix of Victorian era brick buildings and newer homes, such as ours. Our street is so quiet you wouldn’t know we are steps away from so many unique restaurants and boutiques. Our home is centrally located, only three miles from Lake Michigan and close to public transportation. Chicago is also the start/finish of famous Route 66!
