I LOVE love love my all white shabby chic "cottage"! People describe it as homey and inviting. The fourplex was built in 1920 and still has its original built ins, doors with crystal knobs and wood floors. I am the only one with a private entry way. There are 8 units only 5 of them have tentants. I am on the second floor. The kitchen includes a new refridgerator, microwave and oven. The bathroom is large with real tile floors and its been completely remodeled. The living room is small but has TV and DVD player along with IPOD. Bedroom is the largest room and has a gas fireplace. The mattress is about a year old and the bed is so comfy you may not be able to get up in the morning even with the birds chirping. You feel as you are at a Bed and Breakfast and will enjoy staying in relaxing and not even realize you are minutes from all the most popular scenes for young and old alike. Because my place is a fourplex historic property and not an apartment I do not have a pool. But rather I have free access to ANY of the Power Property pools which are all lovely and a mere FEW minutes away. I have attached a few pics of some of my favorites. At my place there is a commons area in the back that is fenced in you can sit on the swing back there or on the front patio. My home is filled with antiques, treasures from flea markets or family members. My home is NOT child friendly. I love my place and I hope you will see the beauty in my lil cottage. I believe it is around 800 sq feet. There is a bath and shower. A/C and gas heat. I have a beautiful 2 year old 10 pound Chi/Xolo mix that is my baby! I will take her to my parents house unless you would like some company. Bentley sleeps in bed with me and loves snuggle time and to be loved on. I am told that she is very well behaved. I would love to bring her with me. However I can make other arrangements. Feel free to ask me any questions!
The Lakewood area of Dallas, Texas, is located just northeast of downtown. Lakewood, with its diversity and history is one of the most beautiful and interesting areas of Dallas, and one of those areas you find in some large cities where a sense of community has not been lost.
From the historic mansions of Swiss Avenue, to the beautiful residences in Lakewood proper to the more modest apartments.
Lakewood is minutes from museums, AA center, North Park Mall, shopping centers, boutiques, bars, resturaunts, night life, Art galleries, uptown, downtown and anything else you can think of.
The Katy trails are a popular area to walk to get exercise or you can stroll or ride your back around white rock lake. White rock lake also has a dog park for lil dogs and large dogs. The Dallas Aerboretium is close and then MY all time favorite hangout spot is Cretias on Mckinney Ave.
Minutes from bars and places to eat and socialize with us Texans on Greenville Ave, Deep Ellum, Downtown, Uptown (which is popular)Lakewood and Highland Park...there are a ton of areas to choose from to suit your scene.
I do have a view of downtown Dallas from one of my bedroom windows. I am 29 and love where I live!!! There are many options of things to do depending on your interest. I love it because I feel like I am in my own world and I feel like I am back in time, yet I get to have the city life that I love and be social with only a few miles away. The closest grocery store is Whole Foods which is a health influenced grocery store. I use organic and all natural products so its my number one choice. Or you can go a couple more minutes to a regular grocery store. If you love to go shopping then you will be in heaven! Locally owned boutiques or American stores are 2-10 minutes away. If you want to venture further to the Outlet stores there are two which are 20-30 minutes away.
I was borned and raised here in Texas. I am a true southern belle. I am a single woman in my late twenties living alone in a historic property with my 2 year old dog Bentley. There are a some young ladies that live here as well as two young couples. The neighbors are very friendly and we look out for each other. I tend to spend a lot of time up at Cretias on Mckinney Ave...which is a bar, boutique, bistro and bakery. The bar is our "cheers". I know a LARGE number of regulars that have become fast friends. And every time I go up there I know someone. They play live music and american hits at Cretias. The bartenders are great and they love my girls and I; so they treat us very well. The bar stays open till 2 am. Somehow no matter what the plan is we always end up there~~ I have a close circle of girlfriends that I love to go run around with. My parents live in Trophy Club about 40 minutes away. My lil sister goes to college at DBU about 15 minutes away. I also have a younger brother who is in Dallas every weekend. He is doing PR for a local band that just signed with Sony. I enjoy shopping, swimming, meeting new people, knitting, crocheting, hanging with my girls and going out with them. My home tends to be where all my friends crash and they are always welcome. No drinking and driving. Taxis are available you just call in advance or ask a bartender. If you go to Cretias~~ someone is always there that I know and you will not get stranded. I am a friendly personable woman and love to laugh. I hope you will get to meet some of my friends. Now it seems they have all ended up married or have boyfriends but it does not matter we include everyone when we go out so its tends to be more fun. Plus the boys always take care of us! You will love my girlfriends! And family!
