Beautiful suburban home outside college town near lake community

Beautiful 2300 sq ft home, 3 floors with walk-out basement located in a small suburban neighborhood with a country setting. The house was custom built in 1997 with 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, a large bonus room, family room open to an eat-in kitchen, sunroom, formal dining room and formal living room. The walk-out basement is not finished but is still used as a pottery studio and additional play area for the ping-pong table.

The bonus room is finished and makes for an additonal family room equiped with a TV (with a PlayStation2 and plenty of games) a desktop computer but we are set-up for wireless, and laundry area. There are additional TVs in the master bedroom and one of the other bedrooms.

We have a piano in the family room, guitars (accustic and electric)and a pottery studio. I read ALOT so there are many great books in the bookcases as well.

I LOVE our neighborhood. We live about 5 miles from Davidson College--a private college that offers many cultural community events such as hosting the Royal Shakespear Company. Davidson is that quaint town you see in movies with a great coffee-house, stores, a soda shop, an ice cream parlor, restaurants, etc. Davidson is a part of the Lake Norman community. Lake Norman is a very large lake that lies in both Mecklenburg county and Iredell county. We are less than 5 miles from beach access.

Our home sits on an acre of land and has beautiful views from an expansive back deck and sunroom. (Many deer have visited our backyard!) There are nearby walking trails, and a bike trail park less than 2 miles away.

As for daytrips, you are less than 3 hours from the Blue Ridge Mountains, and a little over 3 hours from the Atlantic Ocean (Wrightsville Beach, NC)

I am in Corporate Marketing and my husband is a Credit Manager. We have 2 boys (15 and 13). We also have an indoor only cat and a beagle who is an outdoor dog. We would prefer a family who would not mind having the animals around (they are fairly self-sufficient--just food and water and an occasional scratch behind ears.) We would do the like if needed.

We are a somewhat typical family...the boys are active in Karate (the oldest is a 1st degree black belt and the youngest is a green belt.) The oldest is learning to play drums (with the dream of being in a garage band) and the youngest plays piano (with the dream of composing a great concerto.) My husband and I love traveling, the arts, meeting new people and having new experiences.
