The main house is a comfortable, airy, 3200sq. ft. home with open floor plan sits in complete privacy in the woods on the island of Deer Isle. Downstairs a well appointed kitchen flows into dining room and than into large living room. Toilet/ washroom is next to large pantry/mudroom with back entrance to the house. Three sets of french doors open out onto the south facing deck and a seasonal outdoor shower is off the south side of deck.
Upstairs are three large bedrooms with a queen bed in each. An office, that could double as another bedroom, is next to a large bathroom with iron bathing tub and shower. Toilet/ washroom is next to, but separate, from bathroom.
Twenty feet from the main house is a guest house with two single beds upstairs and two double bed futon beds downstairs. There is no bathroom or running water in the guest house so anyone who sleeps out in the cottage uses the main house for cooking, bathing, etc. It is the perfect place for teenage children or just extra sleeping quarters.
Fifty feet in front of main house is a 24'x30' art studio used by the owner of the house but it would be available for use with inquiry. Studio has lots of light and running water.
Main house and studio are heated with radiant floor heating and main house also has a wood stove for back up and atmosphere. Guest house stays very warm with propane heater that resembles woodstove. High speed/wireless internet runs in all buildings, sattelite television,
