About our home

Our duplex was built in 2008. It is in a quiet suburb 4 blocks from a vibrant restaurant and art gallery area called Berkley. The duplex has 3 floors and a roof top deck with a hot tub and view of the Rockies. You can take bus 44 downtown to the Convention Center, the Performing Arts Center, the Denver Art Museum, the Contemporary Art Museum, Tattered Cover Book Store, Coors Field, Pepsi Center, or the LoDo restaurants and shops. The bus costs $2.00. If you have the correct auto insurance a car may be available. Denver is a town of young active outdoor oriented people using the hundreds of miles of walking, biking, climbing, skiing, snowshoeing, and kayaking trails in the area. Skiing, buffalo-elk-eagle watching, snowshoeing, hiking, climbing, and rafting, are a short distance west on I-70. Fly fishing is possible year round. Quick start fly fishing guides are available along with a 4 wt 9ft fly rod, reel, net, and a box of flies as well as size 10 waders. A Trek mountain bike is available and the city buses have bike racks.

Where is it?

There are many great local restaurants within walking distance, and fine dining and great culture in Denver, a short drive or bus ride (30 minutes) away. An Italian restaurant and deli, an internet café, a Thai restaurant, a Mexican fast food place, and a Tapas and wine bar are just outside the door. There are many art galleries and small shops on Tennyson Street. Bike and walking trails are nearby. The neighborhood is very calm and clean. Our favorite western style cowboy restaurant, Kyle's is just 2 blocks up Tennyson Street and our favorite fine dining restaurant, Duo's, is just 10 minutes by car. For flyfishing, Clear Creek, the South Platte and Boulder Creek are less than 30 minutes away. The Eagle and Blue rivers are 1 hour away and the Big Thompson, St Vraine, Rocky Mountain National Park, Cheeseman Canyon, Deckers, and the Colorado river are 1 to 2 hours.
