About our home

This home is a custom designed gem in the heart of Denver. Two bedrooms and baths. One large living room with dining area, comfy seating for TV viewing, bar, and adjacent extremely well-equipped kitchen with breakfast table nearby. Downstairs, the mirrored dance floor can be used for working out or have additional guests sleep in two hidden Murphy beds. In summer, the private, colorful, and lovingly tended garden is perfect for evening cocktails. The spectacular water feature begins with an 8-foot waterfall and can be easily viewed (and heard) from inside and out.

More about us

  1. I'm a single retired grandmother who's been on lots of trips to many places in the world, mainly with my ex-husband (and now best friend and business partner). Now my boyfriend and I would like to go to France for the World Soccer this summer.

I would like to exchange homes in Buenos Aires, thinking I could see South America while there, as well as dance tango. I'd rather go during my summer, your winter if I have a choice.

Italy and France are next on my list.

And, of course, I'm open to going lots of places for shorter trips. I have a beloved Yorkie, Ramses, that I'd like to take if possible.

Where is it?

Denver is a pleasant surprise to those who've never lived or visited here. The weather is serious four seasons, sometime two in one day! They say if you don't like the weather, wait till tomorrow. We dress in layers for good reason. Fall and spring are delicious here. Winter is glorious! Big snows usually vanish in the day-after sun. No black ice. Numerous ski areas within 2 hours drive, including Vail. And Aspen is half-day drive and truly special place to spend a weekend, whether you ski or not. Any of the ski towns are just as good to visit in the summer. From my house there are so many one day adventures to the north, west, and south I can't count them all. But not east.

The house is less than a mile from Cherry Creek, the best shopping center in 4 state area. The neighborhood used to be small brick bungalows built in the early 1940's. About twenty years ago developers began to scrape them and build duplexes for affluent empty-nesters who were tired of living in the suburbs. My architect husband designed and built a perfect "empty-nester" house 16 years ago, and I've watched Cherry Creek North metamorphose into a sophisticated, upscale, beautiful and convenient neighborhood. My house is the most unique of all.

Numerous one of a kind restaurants in walking distance. Three miles from downtown Denver, where the Performing Arts Center offers world class shows year round. Colorado Rockies MLB, Broncos NFL, Avalanche hockey, Nuggets basketball. Pepsi Center hosts big events.

The home is eight blocks from Cherrycreek shopping Centre, with the most excellent shopping in four state area. Small shops and large chains. The most unique set of restaurants in the city clustered in Cherrycreek North.
