About our home

Located in Dunwoody, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta, our home is beautiful, spacious and very comfortable with six bedrooms and five bathrooms on three floors. The large gourmet kitchen is complete with all the modern appliances, beautiful granite counter tops, heart pine beams and floors, a central island stove and bar and sunny breakfast room. It adjoins a year round sunroom which features a 37" flat panel LCD HD television. The living room has a unique vaulted ceiling with a wood burning fireplace, comfortable seating, a stereo system, wet bar and grand piano. The first level also includes the spacious master bedroom and en suite bathroom with cathedral ceilings, a comfortable guest bedroom and bath and a spacious dining room, study and laundry room. Upstairs, we have a second master bedroom with adjoining bath, a nursery and two additional bedrooms and a bath. The lower level includes a playroom, den, office, bedroom and one bath with shower. The playroom features a pool table, television, eating nook and wet bar, which exits to a level lawn and play area and a boules court. The southeast region provides wonderful outdoor living ten months of the year. Our home utilizes the outdoors. The deck is a wonderful setting for al fresco dining and includes a gazebo and outdoor kitchen. Down the stone steps from the deck, is a playground which with swings, a sandbox and a charming playhouse. Our home is on a cul-de-sac, is very safe and friendly neighbors.


More about us

  1. We are Danny and Queenie and we have been married for 45 years. We have six grown children (four girls and two boys) and twelve grand children. I am a retired entrepreneur/venture capitalist and Queenie is a retired stay at home Mom. We are actively involved in our community and serve as co-presidents of the local preservation trust. Danny is a founding member of the Dunwoody City Council. We love music, travel, good food, golf and people. We have traveled extensively throughout the world on business and pleasure trips. We both grew up in Louisiana and are proud of our French heritage. Queenie speaks fluent English, Spanish and French and is a world class cook. Although we have never done a home exchange before, we have been active in Friendship Force, an International organization which promotes friendship through home stays. We have hosted numerous families from throughout the world and have participated in an exchange to Thailand. Our goal would be to have a home exchange which would accommodate week long visits by other members of our family during our stay. We value our home and would treat your home with the love, care and the utmost respect.

Located in Georgia's newest city of Dunwoody, our home is only twenty minutes from downtown Atlanta by car or rapid transit. During the past three decades, Dunwoody has grown from a sleepy farming community to a modern community of 50,000 and features a business district which boast of having more Fortune 500 companies than any city in the South. Atlanta is considered the capital of the New South. It was the home of the 1996 Centennial Olympics. The city developed a beautiful park commemorating this historic event. The world's largest aquarium, the Coca Cola Museum and the Children's Museum are located adjacent to the park. Public transportation from the park provides easy access to the Cyclorama which features the world's largest painting depicting the march of General Sherman though our state during the American Civil War, and the world-class Zoo Atlanta. Stone Mountain, the eighth wonder of the world is only thirty minutes from our home and is a must for visitors of all ages. Our home provides easy access to dozens of magnificent golf courses, tennis, lakes, hiking trails in the North Georgia Mountains and four seasons of weather. Whatever your taste in food, Atlanta has restaurants which will surely please you. Cultural activities are abundant year round in our beautiful modern city including the opera, ballet, symphony orchestra and numerous theater groups. Professional sports include baseball, hockey, basketball and football. We would welcome your visit to our home.
