Family 2 story on 9 acres of land, newly renovated (painted, new carpeting, new appliances) with 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths.
My home is nestled in a forest of pine and holly trees 200 feet off the road and the area is very quiet for a good night's sleep. However, within 20 minutes drive. you can be in the glitz and glamor of the Atlantic City, NJ casinos and boardwalk and in 10 minutes, you can be on the beautiful beaches and amusement piers of Ocean City. Also, there are six (!) golf courses within a 5 minute drive of my home. There is something for everyone, young and old.
This area is reknowned for its natural attractions and is a favorite for birdwatchers from all over the world. Hike, canoe and kayak in the expansive Pine Barrens. "Tube" down the winding rivers and creeks. Like boating? Fishing? Crabbing? Well, this is the place! There are also whale/dolphin watching tours.
Forty-five minutes south of my home is Victorian Cape May, unique in that the entire city is on the National Historical register. A 2 hour drive north is NYC (an easy day trip) and 1 hour northwest is Philadelphia, the 'Cradle of Liberty.' Washington, DC, is about a 3.5 hour drive south.
Located in a quiet, wooded area close to everything via auto, this is the perfect retreat after a day at the beach and a night at the casino!
My home is not a mansion (like some of the pictures I've seen on this site!) but rather a clean, middle-class American home (2,000 sq. feet), a place where you can relax and put your feet up and feel comfortable. Children are very welcome here.
I am single, a teacher, in my 50's. I am quiet (far past my partying days!) very interested in architecture, history, art, music and photography as well as other cultures. I am very fond of cats so if you have one (or several, for that matter) that you need tended to while you are on holiday, I'd be very happy to care for it (or them!).
My adult children might be accompanying me. My son works in construction and my daughter is a social worker.
