About our home

Our home is comfortable, spacious, and ideally located. It is a four bedroom, three bath home in a small redwood grove in the East Bay hills about 30 miles from San Francisco. The house has two stories. The main level, in addition to the living, dining, and kitchen areas has a small bedroom for children and a large master bedroom with vaulted ceilings and skylights. The upstairs of the house has an additional two bedrooms with a deck leading out over our backyard. We have two young kids, so families traveling with little ones may enjoy use of a toddler bed, single bed with rail, toys, strollers, etc. Still, the house is large enough for those without children to not feel overwhelmed by "kid"-related objects:-)

More about us

We are both middle school teachers. We have always loved to travel. We love being outdoors, and ideally spend our time in secluded places, in the mountains, near lakes, or by the ocean. We now have two young children (2 and 4 years old). A home exchange seems like a great way to travel with them! Easy access to swimming would be wonderful with our little ones!

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Our house has the advantage of feeling secluded, with a nice back yard and deck. But within 5 minutes, you can be at great restaurants and shopping in nearby Berkeley. In addition, there is easy access by car or public transportation to San Francisco. In addition, we are central to many of California's hot spots. We live within 3 hours of Sierra Nevada mountains, 1 hour to Napa, 2 to Santa Cruz, 3 to Monterey. You can find city life and nature close at hand. (We have a car we would consider as part of the exchange).
