About our home

4,000 sq foot home located in Evergreen, Colorado, just thirty minutes from Denver but nestled in the Rocky Mountains. Spectacular panaramic views of the mountains with elk and fox living on our land. We have two dogs and one cat and our hope is that they would be cared for by our house swappers. There are four bedrooms, five bathrooms, a family room, livingroom with grand piano, large kitchen and two expansive decks. In the summertime, you can hear the water in Bear Creek, which is below our home.

The house is situated on three acres on a private road. Although we are only five minutes from downtown Evergreen, the views from the home are of park land and Mount Evans. The town of Evergreen is a small mountain community with a large lake available for ice skating in the wintertime and boating in the summertime. The best ski resorts in Colorado are about an hour to two hours away. There are numerous walks and hikes or cross country skiing opportunities in Evergreen

Our names are Ted and Kay La Montagne. We own a furniture/interior design business here in Evergreen. We have owned and operated a business in Evergreen for over 30 years. We are a blended family. Ted's children are 40 and 38. Ted and Kay still do family vacations with Kay's children: Melanie, 25 and Kenny, 20. Ted's children are busy with their own families because of the 5 grandchildren. Ted is fluent in Spanish and grew up in Mexico City because his father, an American, worked for General Motors.
