About our home
Charming mountain chalet style cabin with dramatic fireplace and high ceilings. Home features modern kitchen with all newer appliances and loads of seating. Walk out on the large front deck and enjoy the surrounding pine trees. There are four bedrooms. Three have large beds and one has bunk beds. Comfortably sleeps 8. There is also a large loft area, perfect for reading. WIFI internet access is provided. Three rooms have cable TV. There is a large side deck with BBQ grill and a large outdoor dining table. There is also a laundry room with full size washer and dryer.

Our names are Ray and my wife is Amy. We are in our early 70s. We just retired from the Real Estate business and have two grown children who have children of their own. We are currently enjoying being grandparents of 5 grand children ages 6 to 13. We love hiking, backpacking, camping, fishing, canoeing and enjoying nature in general. Our cabin is a summer home which we visit as much as possible. It is a wonderful escape and there is so much to see and do in the area. We also love to travel and see other parts of the world. We have done over 8 very successful trades with two different exchange organizations.

Where is it?
Neighbourhood
Our cabin is located in the tall pines just outside the mountain community of Flagstaff with excellent restaurants, and pubs (outstanding breweries). In our own neighborhood you can walk to 6 different restuarants/bars including Italian, BBQ, Mexican, Breakfast, Sportsbar, Family style, and Party Pub. There is hiking, fishing, horseback riding, and skiing within minutes of the cabin. Drive to the Grand Canyon in less than 2 hours! Or go 2 hours south to the resort town of Scottsdale for unlimited golf! Beauiful Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon is 40 minutes away with towering red rocks and trout stream (our favorite!). Spectacular Lake Powell is a 2 1/2 hour trip (great boating and fishing) You can take an overnight trip to Las Vegas or stay in the area and enjoy all that nature can provide! The summers are sunny and warm, you will love it! For an extended trip, go south to the Sonoran Desert then on to the beaches of California.
