About our home

Beautiful home with comfortable master bedroom and bath plus two more upstairs bedrooms and loft, granite top counter tops in large kitchen, two living rooms with fireplaces, dining room, wireless and Direct TV, nicely furnished, enjoyable backyard, very clean, and easy driving to SW sights, including 1.5 hours to S. Rim Grand Canyon, 3.5 hours to N. Rim Grand Canyon, 45 min. to Sedona, close to Four Corners Region, southern Utah (Zion, Bryce and Arches National Parks) and southern Colorado, and a 2.5 hour drive from Phoenix Airport. In total, a 3 bedroom and 2.5 bathroom house, 2600 sq. ft. Flagstaff does receive some snow in winters and has a ski hill, summers are beautiful and moderate with 70-80s F temperatures. The outdoor activity choices are many, including hiking, mtn. biking, rock climbing. Hiking and biking trails access is within steps from our front door. Flagstaff is located at 7000-7500 feet elevation. We have two friendly dogs that are happiest when they stay home while we are away; we often have a dog sitter that stays at the house in our absence to care for the dogs. The house is roomy with a semi-private upstairs to allow privacy for all.

This neighborhood is quiet and friendly, next to fantastic hiking and biking trails and close to the downtown area in Flagstaff with great restaurants, coffee shops and shopping. There is public transportation nearby -- bus, shuttles, and the Amtrack train stops in Flagstaff regularly. Flagstaff has many cultural, art and music activities throughout the year. The house sits at the base of Mt. Elden.

We are a 40s-50s professional couple. Emily is a professor at the local community college as well as a yoga instructor and Eric works at the medical center on the cardiac surgery team. We enjoy hiking, camping, travel, yoga, cooking, exercise, reading, gardening, and Eric enjoys fly fishing. We have two large, friendly dogs, who would love to stay at the house with you and are easy companions; dog sitter is included if desired so that you do not have responsibility to walk or feed.
