House has three bedrooms and 2 and 1/2 bathrooms. Two offices, family room with piano, large open kitchen includes microwave, and dishwasher, dining, living area with wood burning fireplace. TV's in master bedroom and living room with Dish satelite service. Computer and printer available, but service is dial-up. Central airconditioning. Washer and dryer in laundry room. Hot tub on deck facing river.

Association consists of private homes on minimum of 5 acres. Can walk two plus miles on private paved and hilly roads in association. Neighbors quiet and helpful. Mountain views throughout. House is on 5 acres of lawn, gardens and woods on Shenandoah River with views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Lawn will be mowed by outside service. Canoe and rowboat available for fishing. Swim from our dock. Washington DC is 1 1/2 hours by car. Shopping 7 miles from house.

We are two retirees who enjoy traveling and have lived overseas extensively. We will be joined by my retired brother and his lawyer wife for part of our exchange. My husband speaks and reads French, I get by with my French. We enjoy hiking and exploring new places.
