About our home

Our charming 1940’s cottage sits on a lovely gated property with gardens and pool. Features a chef’s kitchen and spacious dining room. Two bedrooms have queen size beds and the kids room has two full size beds and a lofted twin bed. Master has en-suite bathroom. There is plenty of space for children to play on the basketball court and in the rope tunnel in the front yard while you relax by the fire pit. The backyard has a lovely pool and two lounge seating areas as well as a barbecue grill and dining area next to a fountain. We keep 5 bikes in the garage for bike rides on the green line (one block away) to Shelby Farms Park.

Where is it?

Ten minutes to downtown Memphis and the river in between Rhodes College and University of Memphis. The east memphis neighborhood of High Point Terrace is close to fine dining and shopping areas of east memphis and midtown nightlife. We are two minutes from arguably the best Memphis BBQ (Central on Summer Ave.). Enjoy a bike ride to beautiful Shelby Farms pack A picnic or dine at one of the restaurants. The kids will enjoy high ropes course, beautiful play grounds, kayak and standup paddle board rentals. Even horseback riding in the park. There is a walkable (5 minutes) grocery store and two casual restaurants. One mile south is a strip of cafes, restaurants, bars and shops in the university area.

Graceland is a must visit for Elvis fans with a tour of his home and air plane.

Sun Studios (where it all started) has a great tour and cafe. 1 block away is High Cotton Brewery where you can enjoy brews and lunch. But be sure to have breakfast at The Arcade where Elvis himself dined before and after recording sessions at Sun Studios.
